We hope you had missed unusual and special mechanical models, because here it comes rolling in to join your collection! Browsing through old photo archives, we found an image of a fun and clever transportation device invented in the early 20th century. This was a single wheel with one driver-passenger who looked so pleased with himself while sitting on his peculiar vehicle that we had no choice but to design one for our collection as well.

We expanded our research to find out more about unicycle mechanisms and found machines that didn’t need a driver at all and were invented for warfare, covered in lots of armor. What really inspired us was a similar approach to transmission used in all prototypes from the 1860s onward: a moving outer element with a stationary mechanism inside. Our peaceful spirit, striving above all for creation and curiosity, combined the best of the two prototypes and so today we can proudly present to you: the all-wood mechanical

No armor shell is included – your new one is designed in skeleton-steampunk style and lets you enjoy wonderfully good views of all the moving, rotating gears. Despite its airy, delicate appearance, your new model is pretty sturdy – you can take it outside and keep it rolling well on sidewalk and other (semi-)hard surfaces. The parts of the mechanism imitate a real steam engine. The lack of an outer shell gives easy access to the rubber band motor and so you can easily replace it when the time comes.

Two modes of operation guarantee even more fun. The first mode with locked legs allows you to ride uninterrupted for about one and a half to two meters until the rubber band motor becomes relaxed. Then the model gracefully turns and stops. The second mode with the feet in unlocked positive will let you roll forward while the rubber band motor is at work, then it flips over, the feet slide in and the model starts rolling until it runs into an obstacle. In this mode, the model will travel up to a maximum of five meters. This gave us the idea of playing some mechanical bowling with our model as the bowling ball. We recommend this new sport to all our friends!
