Then you can remove your hands from the sensors to quickly grab the cube. As soon as you remove your hands from the Rubik’s cube timer, the timer starts automatically. Have you solved the puzzle? Then place both hands back on the sensor pads, and the timer will stop automatically. How does a speedcube timer work?
The On/Off button activates the speedcube timer and, in most cases, displays your most recent time on the dashboard in the center. To retrieve old saved times or save new ones, you can scroll through the history and make changes using the Cycle and Save buttons. You can also reset the most recent time using the Reset button to start with a clean slate. The Reset button also activates the sensors, allowing you to place your hands on the surfaces. An automatic detection system then registers when you’ve finished a new round by changing a red light to green. Depending on the model, the Rubik’s cube timer mat may also feature a port that allows you to display the times on an external display or computer instead of the dashboard. Cables to make that connection are not included with the device. Finally, most cube timers are powered by two AAA batteries.
