The locomotive is wound up with a special key (there are winding slots on both the left and right sides of the engine), but be sure to turn the chimney to the “Stop” position first. Once the spring is wound up, hold the model while turning the chimney to the “Start” position, release and watch as the train pulls forward in a straight line.
