The International Space Station (ISS) is a modular space station rotating in low Earth orbit. The station serves as a research laboratory in which scientific research is conducted in astrobiology, astronomy, meteorology, physics and other fields. Assembly of the ISS, a major undertaking in space development, began in November 1998. Russian modules were launched and connected with unmanned missiles. All other modules of American origin were provided by the Space Shuttle. Tribute to the technical genius of the ISS creators.
Metal Time designers have created a prefabricated model of the ISS space station’s “astronaut lodge.” Lots of realistic details. An ingenious cog system allows the space station to rotate at variable angles via an electric motor.
