Italeri Fokker F-27 SAR Maritime Patrol (1:72)

A Dutch-made aircraft, the twin-engine Fokker F-27 Friendship, was introduced in the 1950s as a successor to the familiar Douglas DC-3 piston engine. With powerful Rolls-Royce turboprop engines that produced 2,250 hp each, the Fokker was able to reach an impressive speed of 460 mph. This versatile aircraft was used for a variety of purposes, including cargo transport, troop transport and maritime patrols. The Fokker F-27 quickly became a favorite for short-haul routes because of its reliability and efficiency.
