Italeri F-5A Freedom Fighter (1:72)
In the 1950s, Northrop, an American aircraft manufacturer, began developing an affordable combat aircraft that would meet the requirements of several NATO air forces. Small in size but enormously flexible and effective, the F-5 quickly became a favorite for its operational efficiency. Equipped with two General Electric J85-GE-13 motors and two 20 mm. guns, the aircraft could reach an impressive speed of 1,700 mph. It was capable of a wide range of missions, ranging from air defense to ground attack, which quickly made it popular with many different air forces worldwide.
