Our topper: Crazy Aaron’s Putty

Crazy Aaron’s putty is a unique and playful moldable toy created by American manufacturer Crazy Aaron’s Puttyworld. It is a type of kneading eraser with a slightly rubbery texture, making it easy to shape and manipulate. Crazy Aaron’s putty is available in a variety of colors and effects, including metallic, glitter, glow in the dark and thermal sensitive varieties. It comes in small cans in different sizes: small, medium and large. This putty can be used to knead, pull, roll, bounce and much more.

What makes this putty truly unique is its ability to hold its shape and return to its original form after kneading and manipulation. This is due to the viscoelasticity of the putty, making it both stretchy and resilient.

The genesis

‘For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a fondness for putty. Although I enjoyed the putty that immediately comes to mind for most people, it was made for the mass market in 1957 and left much to be desired. This was 1998. I thought that with all the advances in science and technology over the past 30 years, there must be ways to improve it. So began my search…

I taught myself chemistry. I learned a little bit about physics. And after a lot of experimentation, my first batch of Thinking Putty® was born! I soon realized that this product was so unique and the manufacturing process so delicate that I would have to build my own factory to make it.

So that’s exactly what I did. And as my business grew, so did my desire to give something back to my community. Now, 25 years later, it is an honor to make Thinking Putty® and Land of Dough® products whose quality, beauty and hand-feel transcend all else. Today I look back in amazement at how my hobby grew into an international business that touches so many lives.’

Best,

Benefits of Putty

Crazy Aaron’s putty is not only incredibly fun to play with, but it also has a number of therapeutic benefits. It can help relieve stress, anxiety and tension, and can have a calming effect. Kneading the putty provides a sensory experience and can help improve focus and concentration. Therefore, it is also often used as an aid in mindfulness exercises, stress reduction techniques and even as a fidget toy for children and adults with ADHD or autism.

Safety

Crazy Aaron’s putty is safe and non-toxic, but it is recommended not to swallow it and to keep it away from children under 3 years old, as they may swallow or choke on it. It can also leave some marks on fabrics and surfaces, so it is advisable not to use it on delicate materials.
