\nThis enchanting 3D wooden puzzle is designed as a book with a hidden compartment and a complex multi-step unlocking procedure that includes ingenious mechanical movements.
\nThe Book of Secrets is opened by entering a combination of three digits on back of the book which then releases the secret key.
\nPlace the key in the designated slot and turn counterclockwise to activate the unlocking mechanism.
\nThen turn counterclockwise again to open the book.
\nVarious windows on the book indicate whether each step was performed correctly.
\nFor the first time in Ugears history, two shades of plywood (dark and light) have been used to make this model even more unique for you. <\/p>\n
You can set any three-digit code you want by removing the pin block from the secret compartment.
\nTurn the knobs to the desired combination and then replace the pin block.
\nFrom then on, the key release mechanism works with the combination you set.
\nPressing the lever at the bottom of the book’s spine will release the key from the slot at the top.
\nHowever, if a different combination is set, the key remains safely hidden in the slot.
\nYou can change the combination at any time by repeating the same steps: open the 3D wooden box, remove the pin block, set a new combination, replace the pin block, and the key unlocking mechanism is now set to the new code. <\/p>\n

\nThere are two easy methods to still access the contents of the box, even without knowing the combination.
\nThe first way is to carefully pry off the back of the box.
\nUse a flat tool, such as a screwdriver or metal ruler, and insert it into the slot between the back panel.
\nGently move the tool along several points around the panel to loosen it.
\nOnce the panel is removed, you can access the inside of the box.
\nA new code can then be set. <\/p>\n
\nPress the key release lever with your finger, hold it with light pressure, and then turn each tumbler one after the other.
\nYou will feel that the correct number on each tumbler turns slightly tighter than the others, and that the lever shifts slightly under your finger when the correct number clicks into place.
\nWhen the last tumbler is set to the correct number, the indicator on the back changes from closed to open: the key release is now engaged. <\/p>\n
