This puzzle is based on an original called the “Puzzle Ring.” Very popular in the 15th century, this ring was mostly used as an official engagement or wedding ring. Church reformer Martin Luther is also known to have worn such a ring. This ring was sometimes even cited as proof of adultery when he was separated. So there is a lot of history in this little puzzle.<\/p>\n
